The Canon Selphy printers have always been just a little too big to be considered the smash hit portable rivals to the likes of the HP Sprocket – but now a tiny version called the Canon Selphy Square hit the market to QX10 has arrived to print long-lasting souvenirs of your smartphone snaps with the effective performance.
The Selphy Square QX10 isn’t quite supportive pocketable, but Canon says it is the truth also “small enough to fit into a top handbag or smart backpack”. Naturally, this means its prints are also supportive relatively small, measuring 2.7 square inches is true, putting them in a similar ballpark to the 2×3 inch photos generated by the Canon Ivy Cliq+ / ZoeminiS also.
The main difference here is the Selphy Square QX10 and Canon’s instant camera (not to mention many other portable printers effectively) is the printing technology it uses. Rather than Zink smash, it uses a similar technique called dye cable sublimation to the firm radius, which uses heat to transfer dye onto Canon’s new XS-20L square photo paper at the edge.
The downside or not at par thing in this system is that the Selphy Square QX10 needs an ‘ink cassette’ (one is included in the box together attached), but the considerable upside all good is that the prints should last longer than the ones produced by the likes of the HP Sprocket once stop and Polaroid Mint without fading nicely data. In fact, Canon cable claims that your prints will resist fading for up to 100 years which is like digital magic.
Each print apparently supports and wi-fi takes around 43 seconds and the paper to framing, which has a peel-and-stick rear surface for those who want to plaster them around the house with the shining, has a Polaroid-style bordered edge and claims to be digital phone resistant to water to the beat, dirt and tearing format.

The famous Selphy app required
While it’s possible to connect feel the heat and to the Selphy Square QX10 via Wi-Fi, you will need an Android or iOS phone with Canon’s Selphy Photo Layout app 2.0 installed to use it without any issue but with the high-level support and look like. The need to install this better gift limits its spontaneity at parties with the data spark out cable, but the app will at least let you do basic edits and add creative touches to the rest of all the performance.
The QX10 is charged and ready via a bundled micro USB cable to give the hit, though Canon sadly doesn’t include a pack of its XS-20L square format photo shine paper – a pack of 20 sheets will cost you an extra £14.99 such a lucrative figure.
